Practice Overview

  • Hospital-affiliated, free-standing outpatient family practice clinic
  • Provides full-spectrum primary care services
  • Supported by hospital facilities, equipment, and services
  • Provider reports to designated administrative supervisor for non-clinical matters
  • Participation in medical staff and departmental activities required

Patient Care Expectations

  • Deliver high-quality family medicine services to all age groups as applicable
  • Accept all forms of reimbursement (Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, managed care)
  • Provide appropriate levels of charity care as required by policy
  • Participate in quality improvement and ACO-driven performance measures

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Outpatient primary care evaluation and management
  • Preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
  • Medical documentation, coding, and compliance with reimbursement standards
  • Compliance with EMTALA and all federal/state regulations
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through CME and independent study
  • Participate in quality initiatives and hospital system requirements
  • Maintain professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance
  • Follow all safety policies and organizational Code of Conduct

Ideal Candidate

  • Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active Maine licensure
  • Comfortable practicing full-scope outpatient family medicine
  • Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and quality metrics
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and engaged in medical staff participation
  • Committed to patient-centered care in a hospital-affiliated clinic setting
