Primary Care Physician Locums Opportunity

Availability

• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Positions Available: 2

Required Licenses, Certifications & Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO
• Completion of an Accredited Family Medicine Residency Program
• Active Virginia Medical License
• DEA Registration

Preferred

• Bilingual Provider

Additional Requirements

• ECFMG Certificate required for foreign medical graduates

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Community Health Clinic

Clinical Volume

• Physicians expected to see approximately 25 patients per day
• All encounters must be completed and closed by 8:30 AM the following day

Clinical Responsibilities

• Comprehensive primary care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Preventive care and wellness visits
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Medication management
• Coordination of specialty referrals
• Physical examinations and health assessments
• Interpretation of diagnostic and laboratory results
• Community health and patient education
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives
• Potential teaching opportunities with residents, practitioners, and medical students

Practice Details

• Providers may be assigned among three clinic locations within the Richmond area based on operational needs
• Multidisciplinary care team environment
• Focus on patient-centered and culturally competent care
