Clinical Role
Join a highly respected Gastroenterology team providing advanced inpatient GI coverage at a Level I Trauma Center and Stroke Certified hospital. This locums opportunity focuses on Advanced GI procedures, including ERCP and EUS, while providing hospital service, call coverage, and inpatient/outpatient procedures in a collaborative environment.

Assignment Details
Coverage: August 19, 2026 – August 31, 2026
Ongoing need available for future vacation coverage and additional dates
Orientation: One to two days prior to the start of the assignment
Facility will consider providers who can cover only part of the requested dates
Multiple providers accepted

Schedule & Coverage
Scheduled clinical hours plus 24-hour call

Coverage includes:

  • Hospital service
  • Inpatient procedures
  • Outpatient procedures
  • Assigned and unassigned patient call

Call response time:

  • 20 minutes

Patient volume varies by shift.

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Setting: Inpatient

Responsibilities include:

  • Hospital consultations
  • Daily rounding
  • Assigned and unassigned patient management
  • Advanced endoscopic procedures
  • Inpatient and outpatient procedural coverage
  • Participation in scheduled call

Procedures include:

  • EGD
  • Colonoscopy
  • ERCP
  • EUS
  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • Other advanced GI procedures as needed

Support & Technology
EMR: Epic

Practice within a collaborative Gastroenterology team supported by hospital staff, nursing, and ancillary services in a tertiary care environment.

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology – Required
Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship – Required
ERCP and EUS proficiency – Required
ACLS certification – Required
Ability to respond within 20 minutes while on call – Required
