• Coverage Sites: Multiple locations throughout the Norfolk area based on department needs

• Call: Required
  • Must be willing to take weeknight and/or weekend call
  • Call Rotation: 1:10

Clinical Details

Required Case Experience

• Adult general anesthesia
• Cardiac Cath Lab
• Spinal anesthesia
• Epidural anesthesia
• Regional anesthesia
• Obstetrical anesthesia (OB experience required)
• Neurosurgical spine cases
• Complex vascular cases (excluding open heart)
• Complex orthopedic cases
• Ventilation management
• Central and arterial line placement

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric anesthesia

Not Required

• Open heart anesthesia
• Thoracic cases
• Pain management procedures
• Pulmonary artery (PA) catheter placement

Licenses & Certifications

Required

• Active Virginia Medical License
• OB anesthesia experience

Experience

• Must be comfortable providing broad-spectrum general anesthesiology coverage in an acute care hospital setting.
