Duluth, MN – Locums Psychiatrist

Availability

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment: Ongoing
• Locum-to-Perm Opportunity Available

Coverage Needed

• Full-time preferred
• Will consider providers who can cover a minimum of 2 weeks per month, provided both weeks include call coverage
• Monday–Friday outpatient clinic
• Night, weekend, and evening call coverage

Licensure & Certifications

• Board Certified – Required
• BLS – Required
• Fellowship – Required

Required Experience

• Adult Psychiatry
• Inpatient and outpatient psychiatry
• Admissions
• Assigned and unassigned patient rounding
• Experience with or willingness to provide:
  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
  • Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
  • Psychology/Psychotherapy services
• Preferred: Comfortable treating both children (school-aged and older) and adults

Schedule

• Monday–Friday Clinic: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 8-hour clinical day plus lunch break
• Up to 18 patients per day
• Scheduled clinical hours plus call

Night Call

• 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Covers both inpatient and outpatient services
• No rounding required

Weekend Call

• Friday 4:00 PM – Sunday 4:00 PM
• Covers both inpatient and outpatient services
• Includes inpatient rounding
• All new admissions require rounding within 24 hours
• Call coverage needed 1–2 weekends every 6 weeks
• Required call response time: 15 minutes

Practice Details

• Inpatient and outpatient practice
• 15-bed adult psychiatric inpatient unit
• Outpatient clinic sees school-aged children through adults
• EMR: Epic
• Trauma Level II Hospital
