Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

Hospital

Inpatient and telehealth

Level I Trauma Center

Hospital Stroke Certified

Patient Volume:

Approximately 12 patients per shift

Clinical Responsibilities:

Approximately 70% postoperative rounding on surgical floor patients

Approximately 30% inpatient facial trauma consultations

Telehealth consultations for facial trauma patients referred from outside institutions

Evaluation and management of postoperative patients

Collaboration with the general surgery and trauma teams

Documentation and care coordination

Facility Information:

Five inpatient surgical beds (service-specific)

Requirements

Board Certified Physician Assistant – Required

Active North Carolina License – Required

BLS Certification – Required

Experience in inpatient surgical care – Preferred

Experience managing facial trauma patients – Preferred
