Clinical Role

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician
• Start date: September 22, 2026
• Expected assignment: Approximately 3 months
• Inpatient-only practice
• Hospital-employed hospitalist group
• Approximately 100-bed hospital
• 7 on / 7 off schedule
• 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on-site with 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. night call
• Current coverage needs:
  • 9/22-9/28
  • 10/6-10/12
  • 10/20-10/26
  • 11/3-11/9
  • 11/17-11/23
• One day of orientation during the week of September 14
• Two to three days of proctoring
• Must have respiratory and critical care experience
• Required core privileges include:
  • Moderate sedation
  • Endotracheal intubation and extubation
  • Arterial line insertion and removal
  • Central venous line placement (percutaneous or cut-down)
  • Ventilator management, including assessment for respiratory weaning, oxygen therapy, and extubation
  • Assessment of the need for intubation
• Proctoring is not required for these core privileges; however, the client wants to ensure these privileges are requested during credentialing
• Clinical support available
• EMR: EPIC with Dragon
• ACLS required
• Must provide verification of 50 inpatient case logs within the past 12 months
• Michigan license or IMLC qualification accepted
• Orientation compensation:
  • $400 for four hours or less
  • $800 for more than four hours
