• 30-minute response time required
• Approximately 1–3 phone consults per call period
• Approximately 1–3 patient encounters
• Approximately 1–3 admissions

Patient Volume:

• 1–3 patients during call
• 1–3 admissions
• 1–3 phone consults

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide general surgery call coverage
• Evaluate assigned and unassigned patients
• Perform admissions as needed
• Respond to inpatient and emergency consultations
• Provide surgical management and recommendations
• Document patient care using Medhost EMR

Requirements

• Active Texas Medical License – Required
• ACLS Certification – Required
• Fellowship Training – Preferred
