Clinical Role
Join a highly respected anesthesia team in Duluth, Minnesota, providing locums CRNA coverage at a Level I Trauma Center and affiliated outpatient facilities. This medically directed practice offers a broad and diverse case mix, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work alongside collegial anesthesiologists in a collaborative environment.
Assignment Details

Coverage Needed:
- Multiple CRNAs
- Full-time preferred
- Monday–Friday coverage
- Opportunity to pick up occasional weekend shifts
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday:
- 8-hour shifts
- 10-hour shifts
- 12-hour shifts
- Saturday & Sunday:
- 12-hour shifts
- 16-hour shifts
- 30-minute unpaid lunch

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
- Hospital
- Ambulatory Surgery Centers
- Outpatient Endoscopy Center
Patient Population:
- All age groups
Daily Case Volume:
- Approximately 1–2 longer cases or 3–4 shorter cases per 8-hour shift
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care across multiple procedural settings
- Deliver one-to-one patient anesthesia care
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
- Care for patients in:
- Operating Rooms
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Gastroenterology
- Electrophysiology Lab
- MRI
- CT
- Manage anesthesia for a broad variety of surgical specialties
Case Mix:
- General Surgery
- Orthopedics
- Neurosurgery
- Cardiac procedures
- Gastroenterology
- Trauma
- Nearly all specialties except:
- Transplant Surgery
- Pediatric Cardiac Surgery
Support & Technology
Care Team Model:
- Medically directed anesthesia practice
- Collegial anesthesiologist support
Requirements
- Graduate (Master's or Doctorate) of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Current or eligible Minnesota CRNA license
- NBCRNA Certification, or graduate awaiting initial certification
- CPR certification required
- BCLS required
- ACLS required
