Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assistant Medical Director – Austin, TX

Position Highlights

Licenses & Certifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Pediatric Emergency Medicine (or qualifications meeting position requirements)
• Leadership experience or interest preferred

Practice Details

• Setting: Pediatric-only Emergency Department
• Emergency Department: 10 beds
• Daily Census: Low 50s
• Physician Coverage: 24 hours daily (2 × 12-hour physician shifts)
• APP Coverage: 12 hours daily
• Support Services:
  • Dedicated Pediatric Operating Room
  • 8-bed Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit
  • 6-bed Pediatric ICU (PICU)
  • 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
  • 24/7 Pediatric Intensivist coverage

Leadership Responsibilities

• Partner with an experienced Facility Medical Director
• Assist with departmental leadership and operations
• Help support quality initiatives and physician engagement
• Maintain clinical practice while serving in a leadership capacity
