  • September 11, 8:00 AM – September 16, 8:00 AM
• Coverage Type: Call only
• Call Type: Beeper Call
• Required Response Time: Within 20 minutes of the hospital

License & Certification Requirements

Required:

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Active North Carolina Medical License
• Active North Carolina DEA (NC address required)
• Active North Carolina Medicaid Credentialing

Clinical Responsibilities

• Round on assigned and unassigned patients
• On-call for emergent Cesarean sections
• On-call for vaginal deliveries
• Perform emergent GYN procedures as needed
• Admissions required

Practice Details

• EMR: Meditech 6.1
• Average 27 deliveries per month
• Average 11 C-sections per month
• Typical census: 1–3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• Level I Nursery
• High-risk deliveries managed only in emergent situations; patients requiring NICU services are transferred to a higher level of care approximately 30–45 minutes away

• Hospital apartment provided adjacent to the facility
• Provider must remain within 20 minutes of the hospital per medical staff bylaws
• 24/7 Anesthesiology support
• 24/7 Radiology support
• Hospitalist support staff available
• 3 Labor & Delivery rooms
• 14 Postpartum rooms
• Hospital contacts provider via cell phone
