Clinical Role
Join a state-of-the-art Emergency Department in Englewood, Florida, providing Emergency Medicine coverage across a modern hospital campus and affiliated Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs). This three-month locums opportunity offers flexible scheduling, high-quality facilities, and the ability to care for a diverse patient population in a Primary Stroke Center environment.

Assignment Length:
- Three months
Coverage Needed:
- Equivalent of 2 FTEs
- Minimum commitment of 6–8 shifts per month required
Schedule:
- Flexible availability required
- Providers must be willing to work:
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekend shifts
Shift Details:
- Main hospital may consider shifts shorter than 12 hours
- Affiliated FSED locations require 12-hour shifts
- ED provider night shifts:
- 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
- Hospital Emergency Department
- Freestanding Emergency Departments
Facility Details:
- 18-bed Emergency Department
- Annual ED volume: approximately 20,000 visits
- Main ED volume:
- Approximately 60 patients/day currently
- Low 50s during summer months
- Up to 70 patients/day January–March
Physician Coverage:
- 24 hours daily
- 12-hour physician shifts
APP Coverage:
- Available during peak times
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat Emergency Department patients
- Manage acute medical and surgical conditions
- Provide emergency stabilization and disposition planning
- Collaborate with APPs, nurses, and specialty teams
- Participate in stroke and sepsis care processes
- Document patient encounters using Meditech P-doc and M-Modal Dictation

Requirements
- Board Certified Emergency Medicine required
- Emergency Medicine Residency trained required
- ACLS required
