Call Details:

• In-house call
• 30-minute response time required
• Assigned and unassigned patients
• Approximately 5 phone consults
• 1–3 patient encounters
• 1–3 admissions
• 100% callback rate

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

• Hospital Stroke Certified
• Level IV Trauma Center

Patient Volume:

• 1–3 patients seen during call
• 1–3 admissions
• Approximately 5 phone consults

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide General Surgery call coverage
• Evaluate assigned and unassigned patients
• Perform admissions as needed
• Respond to inpatient and Emergency Department consultations
• Provide surgical evaluation and treatment recommendations
• Document patient care using Medhost EMR

Support & Technology

EMR System:

• Medhost

Requirements

• Active Texas Medical License required
• ACLS certification required
• Fellowship training preferred

Credentialing
