- Ongoing full-time coverage
Shift Schedule:
- 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Orientation:
- Two shadow shifts required

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
- Hospital Emergency Department
Patient Population:
- Young and generally healthy patients
- Approximately 30–40 patients per day
- Annual ED volume: 15,000–16,000 visits
- Approximately 4–5 admissions daily (13% admission rate)
Department Overview:
- 11-bed Emergency Department
- Low-acuity emergency care
- Not designated as a trauma, stroke, or cardiac center
- Limited EMS volume
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients
- Perform standard emergency medicine procedures
- Manage low- to mid-acuity cases
- Coordinate care with consulting services
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently
Support & Technology
Support Staff:
- Standard emergency department nursing and support staff
- Two emergency physicians scheduled daily
- Dedicated pediatrician on-site during peak hours
- Labor & Delivery department located within the hospital and separate from the ED
- Standard consulting services available, including Pediatrics
EMR:
- Please inquire
Requirements
- ABEM Board Certification strongly preferred
- Extensive Emergency Medicine experience required if not ABEM boarded
- Emergency Medicine Residency Training Required
Credentialing
