Internal Medicine Physician – Health Equity & Value-Based Care Faculty | Dallas, TX

Position Overview

Join a full-time academic Internal Medicine faculty position focused on Health Equity and Value-Based Care. This role combines outpatient clinical practice with resident education, mentorship, and leadership in quality improvement and population health initiatives.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care
  • Deliver evidence-based, value-driven patient care
  • Utilize population health tools and risk stratification
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
  • Address social determinants of health and healthcare disparities
  • Help develop and implement value-based clinical workflows

Teaching & Faculty Responsibilities

  • Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track
  • Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents
  • Provide clinical instruction in:
    • Primary Care
    • Population Health
    • Value-Based Care
    • Health Equity
  • Participate in:
    • Journal Clubs
    • Lectures
    • Case Conferences
    • Resident Workshops
  • Mentor residents in:
    • Quality Improvement (QI)
    • Research
    • Scholarly Activities
  • Assist with curriculum development aligned with ACGME competencies
  • Provide resident evaluations and ongoing feedback

Leadership & Quality Improvement

  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support operational and clinical process improvement
  • Analyze outcomes and performance data
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership teams
  • Contribute to departmental clinical standards and innovation

Ideal Candidate

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Passion for academic medicine and resident education
  • Interest in Health Equity and Value-Based Care
  • Experience or interest in Population Health and Quality Improvement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
