Emergency Medicine Locums – St. Louis, MO (IMLC Accepted)

Assignment Details

• Practice Setting: Emergency/Urgent Care
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Providers Needed: 4
• Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
  • Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (transitioning to 12-hour weekend shifts)
• Call: None

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients
• Minor procedures including:
  • Sutures
  • Casts
  • Splints
• Read EKGs and X-rays
• Patient volume: 36–48 patients per shift
• Department beds: 4

Support Staff

• Medical Assistants
• Scribes
• Radiology Technologists
• No RN/LPN support

EMR

• Epic

Licenses & Certifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency): Required
• Accepted Specialties:
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Family Medicine
  • Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med/Peds)
• Board: Must be ABMS or AOB certified/eligible
• Missouri Medical License: Required or IMLC accepted
• BLS (American Heart Association): Required

Additional Requirements

• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Must be trained to treat both adult and pediatric patients
• Proof of 50 patient encounters within the last 12 months related to requested privileges
• Comfortable performing minor procedures and interpreting EKGs and X-rays
• Strong EMR proficiency required (Epic experience preferred)
• Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts
• Preference for providers able to work blocks of shifts, weekdays, weekends, and throughout the St. Louis metro area
