Assignment Details

• Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Anesthesiology
• Schedule: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Coverage Type: Vacation Coverage
• Call: Day Shift Only
• Rotation: Flexible coverage schedule (e.g., 3 weeks on / 1 week off)

Clinical Responsibilities

• General anesthesia coverage
• Pre-operative evaluations
• Lunch relief coverage
• Room coverage support
• Daytime OB epidurals
• Takeover of rooms running after 5:00 PM when needed

• Obstetrics (OB)
• Pediatrics (PEDS)
• Urology (URO)
• ENT
• General Surgery
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Orthopedics (ORTHO)

Procedures Required

• Spinals: Proficiency Required
• Blocks: Proficiency Required
• Epidurals: Proficiency Required

Case Logs

• Required
• Must provide proof of epidural, spinal, and block experience

Department Details

• Daytime Providers: 5
• Operating Rooms: 4
• Supervision: Minimal to none; MDs onsite

• Board Certification: Required
• Active Indiana License: Required
• Indiana Patient Compensation Fund (PCF): Required

Additional Details

• MDs provide pre-op evaluations and lunch breaks during the day
• OB provider manages daytime epidurals
• Providers may be asked to cover rooms extending past 5:00 PM
• After-hours callbacks are infrequent, averaging approximately 6 times per month between the two physicians
