Availability
- Coverage Dates:
- August 7 (7:00 AM) – August 10 (7:00 AM), 2026
- Additional ongoing dates beginning September 2026 (TBD)
- Schedule: 24-hour call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
- Coverage Type: Primary Call Only
Practice Setting
- Level I Trauma Center
- Inpatient call coverage
- Primary neurosurgery call (24/7/365 coverage model)
- EMR: Epic
- Reason for Coverage: Provider vacancies and scheduled time off
- No dedicated support staff
Required Procedures & Experience
- Recent Level I Trauma Center experience (within the last year)
- General neurosurgery
- Trauma neurosurgery
- Spine procedures
- External Ventricular Drain (EVD) placement
- Intracranial pressure (ICP) bolt placement
- CLEM procedures
- Craniectomy and craniotomy
- Intensive care management of severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients
- Brain tumor management
- ICU patient care and rounding
Required Licenses
- Active Colorado medical license or
- Active IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) at time of submission
Required Certifications
- Board Certified in Neurological Surgery
- ACLS (Required for credentialing)
- BLS (Required for credentialing)
- Active DEA (Required for credentialing; transferable DEA accepted for the duration of the assignment)
EMR & Onboarding Requirements
- Credentialing application must be submitted before EMR account creation
- Epic modules must be completed prior to virtual training
- Virtual Epic training is required before the first shift
- All EMR training must be completed before first-day details are released
