Licensure Requirements

• Active Arizona Medical License (or ability to obtain)

Board Certification

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology

Required Experience & Skills

• OB Hospitalist experience preferred
• Comfortable providing:
  • Emergent GYN coverage
  • Backup for Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
  • Backup for Family Practice providers
• Possible first assist responsibilities (CNMs typically serve as first assist)
• Circumcisions: Not required

• Average of 9.4 OB Hospitalist patient encounters per day
• Cerner EMR
• In-house anesthesia available
• No MFM onsite (stabilize and transfer model)
• No residency program
• Call coverage model functioning as a triage unit
