Required Licenses & Certifications

• Board Certified Neurologist (Required)
• Active California Medical License (Required)
• Must be available for the listed coverage dates (Required)

Position Details

• Specialty: Neurology
• Setting: Inpatient
• Patient Volume: 10–20 patients per day
• Admissions/Consults: 2–8 per day
• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: None

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurology consultations and acute neurologic care.
• Manage a broad spectrum of neurologic conditions requiring emergency and inpatient consultation, including:
  • Critical Care
  • General Medicine
  • Cardiovascular Surgery
  • Oncology
• Collaborate with hospital teams to evaluate and treat acute neurologic patients.

Procedures

• Lumbar puncture preferred.
• Providers without prior credentialing may obtain privileges after completing three proctored lumbar punctures during the credentialing process.
