Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary medical care services within accepted standards of care
- Evaluate, assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens for acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies
- Refer patients to specialists when appropriate
- Review medical records, diagnostic testing, and examination findings to formulate diagnoses
- Counsel patients regarding medications, potential side effects, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation
- Adhere to organizational quality, safety, infection control, and privacy standards
- Comply with all federal and New York State healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
- Board certified or truly board eligible in:
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Geriatrics
- Palliative Care/Hospice
- MD or DO from an accredited United States medical school
- Successful completion of an accredited U.S. residency program (or 5-year pathway, if applicable)
- Active New York medical license
- DEA (or ability to obtain during credentialing)
- Experience providing primary care in a clinical setting
- Strong collaborative and patient-centered approach to care
