Join a growing, hospital-employed orthopedic team serving one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. This is an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to practice in a high-acuity environment supported by two hospital emergency departments and the county's only Level II Trauma Center, with plans underway for a Level III designation upgrade in 2026.
You'll work alongside a collaborative team of emergency medicine physicians, surgeons, and support staff while utilizing state-of-the-art surgical technology in modern operating rooms. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing trauma program while enjoying the stability and resources of an established health system.
Position Highlights
Full-time, hospital-employed Orthopedic Trauma Surgery position
Primary focus on inpatient orthopedic trauma with a limited outpatient component
Trauma call coverage for the county's only Level II Trauma Center, with a planned Level III designation upgrade in 2026
Practice supported by two hospital emergency departments and a freestanding trauma center
Strong collaboration with emergency medicine and multidisciplinary care teams
State-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with advanced surgical technology and robotic platforms
Opportunity to help shape and grow an expanding trauma service
Qualifications
Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
South Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Experience in orthopedic trauma preferred
