Clinical Role

Join a close-knit, well-established hospital medicine team in Dyersburg, Tennessee, with opportunities available for both Hospitalists and Nocturnists. The team includes 8 physicians, 1 advanced practice provider, and a dedicated clinical performance nurse. This practice offers a collaborative environment, multidisciplinary specialty support, and the opportunity to manage challenging cases in an open ICU setting with tele-support.

Hospitalist Schedule:

  • Daily rounding model
  • Three providers involved in daily rounding
  • Average census of 12–15 patients per provider
  • On-call admissions range from 0 to a maximum of 4–5 patients

Nocturnist Schedule:

  • 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Exclusively overnight shifts
  • Dedicated nocturnal coverage

Coverage Requirements:

  • Hospitalist and nocturnist positions available

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

Inpatient Medicine

Patient Volume:

  • Average 12–15 patients per provider
  • Daily rounding model with three providers
  • On-call admissions: 0–5 patients

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient hospitalist care
  • Round on hospitalized patients
  • Evaluate and manage new admissions
  • Participate in on-call coverage
  • Manage medically complex patients
  • Participate in emergency codes
  • Provide care within an open ICU environment
  • Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary specialists
  • Coordinate patient care and treatment plans
  • Provide patient-centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
