Licensure & Certification Requirements

Required

• Board Certified in Pediatrics — REQUIRED
  • Board Eligible candidates are NOT accepted
• Active Virginia Medical License — REQUIRED
• At least 6 months of clinical experience within the specialty — REQUIRED
• Must have been clinically active within the past 1 year — REQUIRED

Clinical Role

• Experienced Pediatric Hospitalist
• Care for patients on a 17-bed pediatric floor
• Provide coverage in the newborn nursery
• Approximately 2,400 annual deliveries
• Pediatric Floor Average Daily Census: 5
• Newborn Nursery Average Daily Census: 15
• Daytime support from Advanced Practice Providers
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists available onsite and through telehealth
• NICU services are also provided onsite
