• Position Type: Full-time
• Coverage: 24/7 neurosurgical coverage
• Call: 1:4 rotation
• Call Support: PA takes primary call
• Call Scope: General neurosurgery, spine, and trauma
• Subspecialists: Considered, but must be comfortable taking general and spine call

License & Certification

• Board Eligibility: BE accepted
• Board Certification: BC accepted/required
• State License: Michigan medical license required

Clinical Role

• Specialty: Neurosurgery
• Scope: Full-spectrum cranial and spinal neurosurgery
• Practice Setting: Multispecialty practice
• Patient Care: Inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up
• Trauma: Level II Trauma Center
• Imaging: MRI, CT, and angiography
• Academic Opportunities: Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows

Responsibilities

• Perform cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures
• Provide inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical consultations
• Interpret advanced neuroimaging
• Manage trauma and spine cases
• Collaborate with neurology, neurointerventional, trauma, PM&R, and other specialties
• Participate in 1:4 trauma and spine call rotation with PA support
• Provide high-acuity, evidence-based neurosurgical care
