Locum tenens opportunity
Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible OB/GYN
2026 coverage dates:
- October 12
- November 25–26
- December 23–27
- December 30–31
Ongoing locums coverage anticipated throughout 2027
Approximately 7–10 shifts per month in 2027, with some months requiring slightly more or less coverage
Coverage includes clinic and call
24-hour call shifts: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
Call-back coverage – physician reports onsite only when needed
Average 20–30 deliveries per month
OB/GYN serves as backup for deliveries and emergencies
Midwives typically manage their own deliveries
Family medicine physicians typically manage their own deliveries
OB/GYN will manage labor and delivery for patients established with an OB provider
Physician provides oversight of the midwives but does not need to remain onsite
Coverage includes the OB unit and ER consults
No circumcisions required
Call ratio: TBD

OB unit does not have a NICU
Provider serves as backup for obstetric emergencies and deliveries requiring OB/GYN involvement

Dixon is located in north-central Illinois along the Rock River
Approximately 100 miles west of Chicago
Offers a small-town setting with convenient access to larger communities throughout northern Illinois
