Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Norwich, Connecticut

Clinical Role:

• Permanent job opening at a community health center (in operation for over 100 years).

• Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.

• Perform routine follow-up visits for medication monitoring.

• Provide emergency consultations, evaluations, or follow-up care as needed.

• Deliver treatment in accordance with agency standards, protocols, and policies.

• Manage complex or referred patient cases.

• Document assessments, treatment recommendations, and care plans.

• Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, support staff, and community resources.

• Provide health promotion, education, and counseling to patients and families.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Requirements:

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensed in Connecticut.

• PMHNP certification required.

• Master of Science in Nursing.

• 2 years of ambulatory care experience preferred.

• CPR/First Aid certification.
