Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Norwich, Connecticut
Clinical Role:

Permanent job opening at a community health center (in operation for over 100 years).

Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Responsibilities:
-
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
-
Perform routine follow-up visits for medication monitoring.
-
Provide emergency consultations, evaluations, or follow-up care as needed.
-
Deliver treatment in accordance with agency standards, protocols, and policies.
-
Manage complex or referred patient cases.
-
Document assessments, treatment recommendations, and care plans.
-
Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, support staff, and community resources.
-
Provide health promotion, education, and counseling to patients and families.
-
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Requirements:
-
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensed in Connecticut.
-
PMHNP certification required.
-
Master of Science in Nursing.
-
2 years of ambulatory care experience preferred.
-
CPR/First Aid certification.
