Position Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician to provide per diem Prompt Care coverage in Chico, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking flexible scheduling in a busy, collaborative outpatient urgent-care setting.
Position Highlights
Per diem coverage: 4–6 shifts per month
Eight-hour shifts; weekend availability is required
Average clinic volume of approximately 120 patients per day
Competitive compensation: $160 per hour, plus productivity incentive
Malpractice coverage provided
Responsibilities
Evaluate, treat, and triage patients requiring urgent or higher-level care
Perform minor procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, foreign-body removal, splinting, treatment of sprains, minor burns, and fractures
Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team caring for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine; other relevant specialties may be considered
Active California medical license or eligibility for California licensure
ACLS certification required
PALS certification preferred
