Locums – Cleveland, Ohio – Radiology (IMLC Accepted)
AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULE
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1–2 weeks per month
Shift Options:
- 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Shift Length: 8 hours of work + 30-minute to 1-hour lunch break
Total Shift: 8.5–9 hours
Overtime: None
Hours Worked: 8 hours/day only
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- Ohio Medical License — REQUIRED
- IMLC accepted with LOQ in hand
- Radiology Board Certification — REQUIRED
- Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology
- ACLS — REQUIRED if performing procedures
- Must provide documentation of ACLS certification through the American Heart Association before being scheduled for procedures
- BLS — REQUIRED
- DEA — REQUIRED
- Ohio CSR — REQUIRED
- NPDB Self-Query — REQUIRED
- Must be completed within the last 6 months
CLINICAL ROLE
Specialty: General Diagnostic Radiology
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Trauma Level: Adult II, III, IV
Experience Required: 2 years
Preferred: Ability to perform light procedures
REQUIRED MODALITIES
- General CT — REQUIRED
- Unenhanced head
- C-spine
- Level II trauma
- Ultrasound — REQUIRED
- Including first-trimester ultrasound
- X-ray — REQUIRED
Preferred:
- Subspecialty fellowship training
Not Required / Not Included:
- Mammography
- Neuro subspecialty
- MRI/spine/stroke
- Nuclear medicine
- MSK MRI unless fellowship trained
CASE MIX & VOLUME
Case Mix:
- Primarily inpatient and outpatient studies
- Occasional STAT list coverage
- Workflow generally reads old-to-new within each section to prevent cherry-picking
Volume:
- Approximately 60–100 cases/day
- Goal of approximately 50% cross-sectional imaging if not performing procedures
- Productivity expectation: approximately 7 wRVUs/hour or equivalent based on daily workflow assignment
PROCEDURES
Procedures are preferred but not required.
If performing procedures, expected procedures may include:
- CT-guided abscess drainage
- CT-guided biopsies
- Chest tubes
- Thyroid FNA
Typically performed by NP:
- Most lumbar punctures
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
Fluoroscopy:
- Not required
- Considered a benefit
Procedure Volume:
- Approximately 2–5 minor procedures/day, excluding fluoroscopy
If performing procedures, the radiologist is expected to continue reading cases between procedures to the best of their ability.
