Opportunity Overview
A growing women’s health practice is seeking a full-time Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join a collaborative, patient-centered care team in Arlington, Texas.
This opportunity offers the ability to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care within a modern practice environment focused on quality, provider support, operational efficiency, and work-life balance. Physicians are supported by a multidisciplinary clinical team, experienced administrative resources, and integrated technology that helps streamline workflows and enhance the patient experience.
Position Highlights
Provide full-scope outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care for women across the lifespan.
Perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries in office-based and hospital settings.
Join a collegial OB/GYN and Certified Nurse Midwife care model.
Work alongside a comprehensive support team that may include licensed clinical social workers, lactation specialists, educators, and other clinical professionals.
Utilize integrated technology platforms that support patient engagement, efficient documentation, workflow management, and continuity of care.
Participate in continuing education and ongoing quality-improvement initiatives.
Receive operational and administrative support designed to help physicians focus on patient care.
Schedule and Call Responsibilities
Participate in a shared call rotation, including an agreed-upon number of 24-hour call shifts.
Serve as backup to an in-house Certified Nurse Midwife team and manage gynecologic emergencies as needed.
Certified Nurse Midwives provide in-house hospital coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
During call shifts, physicians must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital and be able to arrive within 15 minutes when notified that a delivery is imminent.
PRN coverage support is available to assist with vacations and extended leaves.
The practice model is structured to offer a manageable call schedule and more time off than many traditional OB/GYN practices.
Core Responsibilities
Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based OB/GYN care with an emphasis on shared decision-making and individualized treatment planning.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other care-team members to co-manage cases and ensure continuity of care.
Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to promote an exceptional patient experience and productive work environment.
Complete all clinical documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, including patient notes and inbox management.
Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
At least one year of post-training experience preferred.
Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start date.
Active DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start.
Strong clinical, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in an integrated OB/GYN and CNM care model.
