Locums - Ogden, Utah | Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Opening

Clinical Role

Provide Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery call coverage for a Level II Trauma Center. The physician must be comfortable independently managing both cardiac and thoracic surgical cases.

Assignment Details

Coverage Dates:

• September 18–25, 2026
• December 28, 2026–January 3, 2027

Schedule:

• 24-hour call coverage
• Call coverage only
• No clinic responsibilities
• Approximately 10–12 patients per week
• 3–5 consults per 7-day period
• Approximately 1–3 surgeries per week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery
• Cardiac and thoracic call
• Independent surgical cases
• Inpatient rounding when APP support is unavailable
• Practice performs approximately 80 cardiac cases annually

Support & Practice Setting

• Level II Trauma Center
• APP support Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM when available
• Dedicated vein harvest team
• RN, MA, and additional practice support
• Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible – Required
• Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery experience – Required
• Active Utah license in hand at presentation – Required
• Active Utah DEA in hand at presentation – Required
