POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking a General Neurologist for consistent outpatient coverage across multiple locations in southern New Jersey.

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing, until a permanent neurologist is hired

Providers Needed: Multiple providers will be considered.

REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology — Required
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license — Required
  • Must be able to obtain a New Jersey license
• Active DEA — Required
• New Jersey CDS — Required
• BLS — Required

AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULING

• Monday–Friday
• Approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Full-time availability preferred
• Minimum commitment of 3 days per week — Required
• Consistent weekday coverage
• Schedule may rotate among:
  • Egg Harbor Township
  • Hammonton
  • Atlantic City
• Provider will be assigned to one location per day
• Schedule and location rotation coordinated in advance
• No call
• No weekend, holiday, or inpatient coverage

CLINICAL SETTING

• 100% Outpatient General Neurology
• Patient Population:
  • 60% Adult
  • 40% Geriatric
• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 14–18 patients
  • 3–5 new patients
  • 10–13 follow-up patients
• Additional time should be allowed for complex new-patient evaluations.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate and manage new and established adult and geriatric neurology patients
• Manage common neurological conditions, including:
  • Headache and migraine
  • Seizure disorders
  • Neuropathy
  • Movement disorders
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Cognitive disorders
  • Post-stroke follow-up
• Review diagnostic imaging, laboratory results, and outside medical records
• Order diagnostic testing and manage medications
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, APPs, specialists, and the neuroscience team
• Complete documentation, patient messages, test-result reviews, and follow-up
• Provide independent outpatient coverage across multiple locations

PRACTICE DETAILS

• EMR: Cerner / Oracle Fusion
• No inpatient coverage
• No trauma or emergency coverage
• Established referral network and interdisciplinary neuroscience team
• No teaching or leadership responsibilities

KEY CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Must have:

• Neurology BC/BE
• Active NJ medical license or ability to obtain one
• Active DEA and NJ CDS
• BLS certification
• Consistent availability of at least 3 days per week
• Adult and geriatric outpatient neurology experience
• Willingness to rotate among the three practice locations
