  • April 14 – April 16; 7a - 7a (filled)
• Patient Volume: Approximately 1–5 patients/day
• Setting: Acute care inpatient/outpatient hospital
• Facility Size: 268-bed regional referral center

Licenses & Certifications

• Nebraska Medical License or IMLC with active LOQ: Required
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility: Obstetrics/Gynecology — Required
• Residency: ACGME/AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency — Required

Clinical Role

• Provide inpatient OB/GYN coverage during coverage gaps
• Daily rounding on all patients admitted to the service
• Respond to and manage consults received during the assignment
• Must be available to respond at any time
• Comfortable with all OB/GYN procedures
• Emergency Department OB call coverage for:
  • Precipitous vaginal deliveries
  • Cesarean deliveries
• Gynecology Emergency Department call, consultation, and treatment

Required Clinical Experience / Procedures

• Diagnosis and management of conditions from pregnancy through postpartum
• Major and minor abdominal surgical procedures involving the female pelvis and related structures
• Major and minor vaginal surgical procedures involving the female pelvis and related structures

• Support Staff: Hospital staff for inpatient coverage
• Orientation: Orientation schedule provided as coverage date approaches
• Reason for Coverage: Coverage needed for gaps in existing OB/GYN coverage
