IMLC Welcome – Midland, Michigan, OB/GYN Hospitalist Locums Job

Clinical Role

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible OB/GYN
• IMLC candidates welcome
• Inpatient-only hospitalist opportunity
• 24-hour call coverage
• Shift hours: 7a-7a
• Please only submit candidates available for the listed dates
• Primary call requires the provider to remain onsite for the full 24-hour shift
• Call rooms available onsite
• Midwives provide overnight L&D coverage from 7p-7a
• Provider is only contacted by midwives overnight if assistance is needed
• Secondary call may be taken from the hotel, but the provider must check in onsite each morning at 7a

Coverage Dates

• September 25
• September 26
• September 30
• October 15
• October 17

Orientation and Proctoring

• One business day of orientation required
• Orientation includes:
  • Employee Health
  • EPIC training
  • Coding education
• Proctoring completed through active clinical cases
• Required proctoring includes:
  • 2 vaginal deliveries
  • 2 C-sections
  • 2 minor GYN procedures
  • 2 major GYN procedures

Clinical Responsibilities

• Labor and delivery coverage
• Circumcisions preferred but not required
• D&C procedures
• Emergency GYN surgeries
• ED coverage
• Read NSTs
• Tubal ligations
• Laparoscopy
• Inpatient rounding and call coverage

Clinical Support

• Three PAs onsite
• Midwives provide overnight L&D coverage
• No APP supervision required
• EMR: EPIC with Dragon dictation

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME or AOA-approved OB/GYN residency
• Board certified or truly board eligible
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and fetal heart monitoring required
• Must have 50 deliveries within the last 12 months
• Must have 25 GYN procedures within the last 12 months
• Michigan license preferred
• IMLC candidates welcome
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days
