IMLC Welcome – Midland, Michigan, OB/GYN Hospitalist Locums Job

Clinical Role:

• IMLC candidates welcome

• Inpatient-only hospitalist coverage

• 24-hour call coverage

• General shift schedule: 7 a.m.–7 a.m.

• Coverage blocks below list 8 a.m. start and end times; confirm shift handoff times before scheduling

• Please only submit candidates available for the listed coverage dates

• Primary call requires the provider to remain onsite for the full 24-hour shift

• Onsite call rooms available

• Midwives provide overnight labor and delivery coverage from 8 p.m.–8 a.m., contacting the physician when assistance is needed

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Labor and delivery coverage

• Inpatient rounding

• Emergency department coverage and emergency GYN surgeries

• D&C procedures

• Nonstress test interpretation

• Tubal ligations

• Laparoscopy

• Circumcisions preferred but not required

Clinical Support:

• Three PAs onsite

• Overnight midwife coverage

• No APP supervision required

• EMR: Epic with Dragon dictation

Requirements:

• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-approved OB/GYN residency

• Board certified or truly board eligible in OB/GYN

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and fetal heart monitoring credentials required

• At least 50 deliveries within the last 12 months

• At least 25 GYN procedures within the last 12 months

• Michigan license preferred

• IMLC candidates welcome

• Credentialing typically takes approximately 30 days

Orientation and Proctoring:

• One business day of orientation required, including Employee Health, Epic training, and coding education

• Proctoring completed through active clinical cases

• Required proctored cases:

  • 2 vaginal deliveries

  • 2 C-sections

  • 2 minor GYN procedures

  • 2 major GYN procedures

• Approximately 30 minutes from Saginaw
