Locums - Mechanicsville, Virginia, NP Cardiology Opening

Start Date: ASAP
Coverage Needed: Weekly, Monday–Friday
Reason for Coverage: New inpatient site
Number of Providers Needed: 1

Coverage & Setting:

• 100% inpatient/hospital-based Cardiology
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Approximately 10–15+ patients per day depending on hospital volume
• NP will work independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist

Schedule & Call Requirements:

• Monday–Friday: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Beeper/phone call coverage required
• Call ratio: 1:3–1:4
• Average call-back time: Approximately 2 hours

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Manage new inpatient Cardiology patients
• Follow-up visits and hospital rounding
• Clinical documentation
• Discharge planning
• Coordination of patient care

Support & Systems:

• Works alongside an Interventional Cardiologist
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner – Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience – Required
• Active Virginia license – Required
• Active DEA – Required
• ACLS and BLS – Required
