Candidate Requirements

• Provider Type: MD/DO

• Alaska Medical License: Required
• License Status: Active Alaska license must be in hand at time of presentation
• BLS: Required
• BLS Certification: Must be through AHA or American Red Cross, as applicable

• Epic Experience: Proficient user required

Availability & Assignment

• Start Date: November 1, 2026
• Assignment Length: 6 months
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Initial Coverage: 1 week per month
• Potential Future Coverage: 1 week every other month or quarterly
• Call: None
• Setting: Outpatient
• Privileges: Clinic
• Rounding: None
• Admissions: None

Clinical Details

• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Average Patient Volume: 14–16 patients per day
• Required Procedures: None
• Provider will work solo
• Additional physician coverage is available across multiple specialties Monday–Friday, with hospitalist and emergency department physician coverage 24/7
• Facility Type: Critical Access
• Trauma Level: Adult IV
• Reason for Opening: Gap in coverage

Clinical Experience Requirement

Candidate must provide documentation demonstrating provision of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested within the previous 24 months.
