Surgery - General Physician Opportunity - Corsicana, TX
Position Overview
RecruitWell is seeking a General Surgery Physician for a locum tenens position at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, TX. This is a call-only coverage opportunity for select weekends in August 2026. The assignment runs from August 1-30, 2026, with specific coverage dates including 8/7-8/9 and 8/21. This is an in-house call position providing both outpatient and inpatient coverage at a Level 4 trauma facility.
Key Responsibilities
Weekend call coverage for emergency surgical services
In-house call availability with 30-minute response time requirement
Management of 1-3 patient admissions per shift
100% hands-on patient care delivery
Rounding on assigned patients
Collaboration with nursing staff (1 RN) and office personnel (1 staff member)
Work with Medhost EMR system
Candidate Requirements
Licensed to practice in Texas
Valid medical degree with General Surgery training
Fellowship preferred
ACLS certification required
Active hospital privileges or ability to obtain temporary privileges (available at this facility)
Board certification not required
Estimated credentialing time: 3 days
