Locum CRNA – Evansville, Indiana

AVAILABILITY

• Long-term assignment preferred; minimum 6-month commitment

• Exact earliest available start date required

• Monday–Friday coverage

• 8-, 10-, and occasional 12-hour shifts

• Minimum 3 shifts per week preferred

• 8–10 shifts minimum preferred

• Strong preference for consistent Monday and Friday availability

• Holiday coverage required

• Prompt shift confirmation required after acceptance

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS

• Board Certified CRNA

• Indiana RN license or accepted compact/multistate RN license

• Temporary licenses are not accepted

• IMLC accepted

• Indiana licensure assistance available

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• No new graduates

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 250 patient cases completed within the past 12 months

• Minimum 425 anesthesia practice hours within the past 12 months

• Case logs required

SHIFT DETAILS

• Monday–Friday

• 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts

• Standard start time: 7:00 AM

• If assigned case starts before 7:30 AM, arrival is 30 minutes before case time

• 8-hour shifts primarily support GI

• 10- and 12-hour shifts primarily support OR

• CRNAs are generally assigned to one location/column per day

• Rarely required to travel between campuses unless an emergency or urgent need arises

• Approximately 35–38 points of service covered daily

• No OB

• No open-heart cases

• Structural heart cases are MD-only

• Low pediatric volume; only relatively healthy pediatric patients required

ANESTHESIA MODEL

• Medically supervised model

• Anesthesiologist may supervise up to 5 CRNAs

• CRNAs generally work independently within the established supervisory model

• Supervising anesthesiologists support regional and general anesthesia

• GI coverage is supervised by a physician proceduralist

• Medication management: Omnicell and Pyxis

CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

• High-volume surgical and procedural environment

• 8-hour shifts primarily support GI coverage

• 10- and 12-hour shifts primarily support OR coverage

• GI may be fast-paced, with up to approximately 15 procedures per day

• Supported by OR nursing, OR techs, and patient care techs

• Case volume varies based on daily assignment
