Pediatrics Physician Opportunity - Elko, NV

Position Overview

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Physician for outpatient coverage on a locum tenens basis. This is a scheduled clinical hours only position to meet current scheduling needs. The role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare team in a growing community.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Encounters: See approximately 15-20 patients per shift

Clinical Coverage: Provide pediatric outpatient care during scheduled 12-hour shifts (7am to 7pm)

Documentation: Provide supporting notes on timesheet entries to verify call back hours and overtime hours submitted

EMR Proficiency: Utilize Athena electronic medical record system

Candidate Requirements

License: Must be licensed in Nevada or hold IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) certification

Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics

Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required

Fellowship: Pediatrics fellowship preferred

Medicaid: Preference for providers participating with Nevada Medicaid; if not participating, vendor must assist with enrollment

Documentation: Current CV/Resume required
