Urology Physician Opportunity - Marquette, MI
Position Overview
LifePoint Health is seeking a Urology Physician for locum tenens coverage at UPHS-Marquette in Marquette, Michigan. This is a call-only coverage position providing 24-hour call support with a response time requirement of 20 minutes to be onsite. The assignment begins with orientation on 6/10/26, with initial coverage 6/11/26 (7a) through 6/16/26 (7a), followed by ongoing opportunities throughout the summer months.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology patients (7a-7a shifts)
Round on new admissions and inpatients requiring urology consultation
Manage patient consultations including kidney stones, CBI consults, stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements
Respond to beeper calls within 20 minutes with expected onsite presence for patient contact
Manage approximately 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected onsite call-ins
Document call-back hours and reasons on timesheet with supporting clinical notes
Discharge patients as needed during call coverage
Handle approximately 1-5 inpatients per shift with 2-5 IP average call numbers per 24 hours
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified in Urology (required)
Valid Michigan medical license
Fellowship training in Urology preferred
Current CV/Resume required with bid submission
Credentialing timeline: approximately 60 days
