Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Opportunity - Russellville, AR
Position Overview
St. Mary's Regional Medical Center is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for locum tenens coverage. This is a scheduled clinical hours plus call position starting January 1, 2026, on an ongoing basis. The facility performs an average of 60 births per month and operates as a Level II nursery, delivering infants at 34 weeks and above. The practice includes both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital responsibilities with in-house lab and ultrasound capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinic coverage 4 days per week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with one hour lunch
Participate in overnight and weekend call on a 1:4 rotation with weekend coverage from Friday 8:00 AM through Monday 8:00 AM
Read anatomy scans as part of clinical duties
Manage obstetric and gynecologic patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
Respond to call within 20 minutes to be in the facility
Collaborate with NPs in clinical practice
Utilize in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and NST services
Candidate Requirements
Board Certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; site will consider BE providers with adequate progress toward board certification or demonstration of competency and training equal to board certification requirements
Active medical license in Arkansas or IMLC license (IMLC providers must have Quality Letter in hand)
BLS certification required
PALS certification required
Fetal Monitoring certification required
Ability to read anatomy scans
Hospital privileges required
Fellowship preferred
