Hospitalist - Pediatrics Physician Opportunity - Lake Havasu City, AZ
Position Overview
LifePoint Health is seeking an experienced Pediatrics physician for a locum tenens position at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. This is an ongoing opportunity starting May 9, 2026, combining scheduled clinic hours with call coverage. Pediatric Board Certification is highly preferred. The position offers a blend of outpatient clinic work and inpatient care in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide pediatric care in a fixed clinic schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
Participate in call coverage approximately 10 days per month, predominantly for newborn care on a rotating schedule with local providers
Manage a combination of coverage scenarios including clinic-only shifts, clinic with call, and call-only weekend shifts
See approximately 16 patients per shift in clinic settings
Handle 5 admissions on average and manage both inpatient rounding and outpatient care
Utilize clinic resources including CLIA waive testing, dedicated medical assistant support, and hospital-based lab and x-ray services
Document all overtime and call-back hours on timesheets as required
Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes
Candidate Requirements
Current Arizona medical license or valid IMLC license
Board Certification in Pediatrics required (Certified status minimum)
Board Certification on file or current active status
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available
Current malpractice insurance provided by vendor
Completed CV/Resume required for application
Background check and drug screen completion required as part of onboarding

Havasu Regional Medical Center is a Level 3 trauma center with Level 1 pediatric services located in Lake Havasu City, home to the famous London Bridge. The facility utilizes Athena (Clinic) and Medhost (Hospital) EMR systems. The clinic environment includes dedicated office support with front office staff, a dedicated medical assistant, and a full-time in-office pediatrician to collaborate with. The community offers beautiful winter weather and numerous outdoor activities including boating, off-roading, and hiking trails.
