Illinois – Fully Remote Emergency Radiologist Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible diagnostic radiologist

• Fully remote opportunity supporting a rural community hospital in Illinois

• Start date: November 28, 2026

• Seeking to finalize the contract within one week

• Hospital name disclosed upon contract signing

• Read a broad range of emergency imaging studies, including:

  • Brain MRI

  • CTA head and neck

  • CTA chest

  • Other ER-related diagnostic studies

• Apply subspecialty expertise when available

• Communicate directly with referring providers and support clinical decision-making

• Deliver accurate, high-quality reports

• Coverage includes emergency department and some inpatient studies

• Reported approximate case mix includes:

  • 40% CT

  • 2% MRI

  • 9% ultrasound

  • 40% X-ray

• Hospital workstation provided

• PACS: Visage

Schedule Options:

• Swing shift:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off

  • 2:00 PM–11:00 PM Central Time

  • Must be comfortable reading 11–14 RVUs per hour

• Overnight shift:

  • 7 days on / 14 days off, or 14 days on / 7 days off

  • 11:00 PM–8:00 AM Central Time

  • Expected volume of approximately 6–7 RVUs per hour

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited institution

• ABR board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology

• Active Illinois medical license or eligibility to obtain one

• Comfortable interpreting a wide variety of emergency imaging studies

• Ability to meet the productivity expectations for the selected shift

Compensation and Benefits:

• Swing shift: $775,000 annually with a 7-on / 7-off schedule

• Overnight coverage: $500 per hour

• Estimated compensation of approximately $1.1–$1.2 million with the 14-on / 7-off overnight schedule

• Malpractice coverage provided

• Workstation provided for remote coverage
