Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Neurologist with Neurointerventional expertise for a locums bench opportunity in Springfield, Oregon. This is a hospital-based inpatient role focused exclusively on unrestricted 24-hour call coverage, with onsite response only when called in and follow-up rounding the next morning as needed.

Assignment Details

• Recruiting for a locums bench

• Contract length: 6 months

• Indefinite approval for ongoing coverage

• 24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Strictly call-based coverage

• Provider reports onsite only when called in

• Follow-up rounding the following morning as necessary

• Monthly coverage need: TBD

• Adult and geriatric patient population

Position Highlights

• Neurointerventional locums opportunity

• 24-hour unrestricted call

• Inpatient hospital setting

• No scheduled onsite shift unless called in

• Epic proficiency required

• Complex cerebrovascular and endovascular case mix

• Oregon-licensed candidates preferred

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide Neurointerventional call coverage

• Respond onsite for emergent Neurointerventional cases

• Provide Neurology consultations as needed

• Perform follow-up rounding after overnight cases

• Collaborate with Hospitalists and other specialty disciplines

• Manage adult and geriatric Neurointerventional patients

• Complete timely clinical documentation

Procedures & Skills

• Stroke thrombectomy

• Carotid stenting

• Diagnostic cerebral angiography

• Endovascular aneurysm repair

• Intracranial stenting

• Embolization of head and neck tumors

• Embolization for subdural hematoma

Support & Technology

• Collaboration with Hospitalists and specialty teams

• Neuro floor: 36 beds

• OHVI: 36 beds

• ICU: 36 beds

• EMR: Epic

• Must be a proficient Epic user

Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurology required

• Neurointerventional procedural expertise required

• ACLS required

• Active Oregon medical license preferred

• Candidates without an Oregon license may be considered with standard credentialing

• Must be comfortable with unrestricted 24-hour call coverage
