Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician Opportunity - Longview, TX
Position Overview
Community Health Systems is seeking a locum tenens Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician for Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, TX. This is a call-only coverage position to provide vacation relief. The updated assignment dates are October 2, 7am through October 12, 7am. ERCP experience is preferred. The provider will see inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inpatient gastroenterology consults
Respond to emergency department consults
Handle patient transfers
Provide beeper call coverage with a 30-minute response time requirement
Utilize Athena/Medhost EMR system
Candidate Requirements
Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology (Certified minimum)
Fellowship in Gastroenterology (Required)
Active medical license in Texas
ERCP experience preferred
ACLS certification required
Temporary privileges available; permanent hospital privileges not required
