Diagnostic Radiology/Nuclear Medicine - Vascular and Interventional Radiology Physician Opportunity - Laredo, TX
Position Overview
We have an opportunity for a long-term locum tenens placement as of November 2, 2026, for an Interventional Radiologist at Laredo Medical Center. This is a scheduled clinical hours position plus call arrangement with minimal on-call responsibilities. The role offers stability with an ongoing assignment supporting a long-term permanent search.
Key Responsibilities
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule with on-call coverage during weeknights.
Provide interventional radiology services with approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
Perform approximately 5 phone consultations per shift
Hands-on procedural work representing approximately 50% of duties
Minimal call coverage with less than 2 calls per day and at least one callback to facility monthly
Operate Philips Allura FD20 interventional radiology equipment
Practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Rounding responsibilities in both inpatient and outpatient capacities
Candidate Requirements
Licensed to practice in Texas
Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology preferred
Current ACLS certification required
Current BLS certification required
Ability to obtain hospital privileges at Laredo Medical Center
Credentialing timeline: Less than 30 days
30-minute call response time requirement
