Pediatrics Physician Opportunity - Durant, OK
Position Overview
AllianceHealth Durant Med Group is seeking a Pediatrics Physician for a locum tenens call-only position in an inpatient setting. This is an ongoing opportunity starting August 1, 2026, based in Durant, Oklahoma. The position involves beeper call coverage with a 1:3 call ratio and requires approximately 30 minutes call response time.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inpatient pediatric patients on a call basis
Provide beeper call coverage with 30-minute response time requirement
See approximately 7 patient encounters per shift
Handle approximately 0.25 phone consultations and 0.25 average patients seen
Perform rounding on both admitted and consulting patients
Manage approximately 1 admission per shift
Spend approximately 25% of time in hands-on patient care
Utilize Cerner and Athena EMR systems
Candidate Requirements
MD or DO degree in Pediatrics
Board Certification in Pediatrics (minimum: Board Eligible)
Fellowship training required
Active medical license in Oklahoma
ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
CV/Resume required for application
