Position Overview
Ochsner Clinic Foundation is seeking a Radiology - Breast Only physician for a full-time locum tenens position at Ochsner Lafayette General Breast Center. This is a scheduled clinical hours only position with no call requirements, ideal for a provider seeking a structured work environment. The position offers flexibility to either fill as a full-time role with a several month minimum commitment or as a rotating position with two providers creating one FTE.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive breast imaging services in a full outpatient setting, including:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms
Conduct breast ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided biopsies
Perform stereotactic biopsies
Conduct breast MRI and breast MRI-guided biopsies
Manage approximately 40 patient encounters per shift
Candidate Requirements
Required qualifications and certifications:
Board Certification in Radiology (Certified minimum)
Breast Imaging Fellowship required
Current medical license
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Hospital privileges required
Louisiana Patient Care Fund (PCF) coverage required
Clean background check and no malpractice claims
