Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Position Overview

Holiday coverage needed for inpatient cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery support. This is a clinic and call position with weeknight beeper and 24-hour weekend beeper call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Rounding on inpatients post-op

First assist in surgery

Seeing patients in clinic

Candidate Requirements

Active license required

DEA required

Board certified only

Current CV must be uploaded to bid

ACLS and BLS certifications required

Skills required: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, interpret EKGs, X-rays, Labs, ECMO; IABP and Impella

Hospital privileges required

Call response time: 20-30 minutes

Patient encounters per shift: 5-8
