Interventional Cardiology Physician

Position Overview

Locum tenens call-only coverage for an interventional cardiology position. This is an ongoing assignment starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

Call type includes In-House and STEMI coverage with a 1-hour response time for in-house calls and less than 30 minutes for emergency/STEMI calls.

Coverage requirement is 5 days per month, Monday through Friday, with a 100% in-house call ratio. Average call shifts are 24 hours with 20-25 patients seen per shift (15-20 patient range). No patient call backs are required.

All admissions are handled by the hospitalist service; no admissions unless STEMI.

Candidate Requirements

Must have a clean malpractice history and NPDB record with an active Arkansas license.

Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required (Certified minimum).

The following certifications are required: BLS, ACLS, and ATLS.

EMR proficiency: Epic

Organizational Highlights

Staffing includes 7 RNs, 7 MAs, and 6 PA/NPs supporting clinical operations, along with 3 office staff members.

Insurance is provided by a vendor.

Expedited credentialing is possible with the right candidate; estimated credentialing time is 60-90 days.
